ShopFactory Instructions
What to do
The following steps detail how to implement the real time payment option within ShopFactory using the CardGate Internet Service.
This facility can be demonstrated using CardGate Internet Service User ID "3d3test". See how to set up ShopFactory below.
Understand and agree to CardGate.net's business terms as outlined in the CardGate.net Services - Provision of Services Agreement.
Understand and agree to CardGate Internet Service Pricing
Apply with the Commonwealth Bank (the acquirer) for an "Internet Order" Merchant facility. The cleared funds from this merchant facility are automatically transferred to your nominated bank account (which maybe with another bank). If you like, CardGate.net can pass on your details to the Bank.
The Bank will contact you to provide the appropriate forms, process your request and inform you of your status after assessment.
If the Bank approves your application, let us know the Merchant and Terminal ID's that the Bank provided by emailing shopfactory@cardgate.net. These numbers are needed to enable our CardGate Payment Gateway to process transactions on your behalf.
We will email back your unique CardGate User ID which you enter into the User ID field for the CardGate Payment Gateway setup in ShopFactory. At this stage you will be in test mode - ie all whole dollar transactions will be "Test Approved" and all non-whole dollar transactions will be "Test Declined". Note that test transactions are not passed onto the Bank.
Sign up as a CardGate Services Merchant (see below) and pay the Merchant Enablement Fee. This may be conducted by credit card online at CardGate.net Bill Payment. Tick the box "Merchant Enablement" and enter the CardGate User ID into the reference field.
When you are happy with your testing, email us at shopfactory@cardgate.net and indicate that you wish to be cutover to live transactions. You will be informed by return email once this has been done.
Require help in enabling ShopFactory with the CardGate Internet Service? Email shopfactory@cardgate.net or telephone (03) 9764 8199.
Setting up ShopFactory to work with CardGate
If you have an earlier version of ShopFactory which does not have the CardGate Internet Service as a one click option, follow this menu tree:
File:New Shop:..... Payment system:Accept Orders on your server:Set User ID to your CardGate User ID, eg for the demonstration system enter "3d3test" ...finish
Publish:Setup:URL of CGI Process:
(where UserID is your CardGate assigned User ID, eg for the demonstration system use "3d3test")
Signing up as a CardGate Services Merchant
Before the Service is enabled for a Bank Approved Merchant, they must sign the CardGate.net Services - Provision of Services Agreement. Print off two copies, fill out and sign both copies and post to CardGate.net, PO Box 9250, Scoresby, Vic 3179. We will sign and return one copy.
Amex and Diners
If the Merchant facility was set up initially without the ability to accept Amex and/or Diners, the Merchant may add this facility later. To do this they simply fax their Amex and Diners Merchant ID's to Merchant Maintenance, Comm Bank on 02 9768 1687 with appropriate reference to their Merchant and Terminal ID's.
